Daily Schedule
We follow a simple daily schedule. We do not believe in having more than what is needed for living a simple life. Therefore, our schedule follows a similar pattern.
7:00-Morning Reflection. This is a time for community members to reflect on their goals for the day and how they are going to accomplish them.
7:30-Breakfast. Each community member is given a nutritious meal, based on their body type and nutritional needs. We raise and grow most of the food that we eat. Those things that we cannot grow and produce because of our location, we will bring into the community.
8:00-Society Cleanup. Society members are assigned a duty each week. This may include picking up trash in the park, gardening, or tidying up one's own home. This is a time for members to complete those tasks.
9:00-Work/School. Adult members of the society go to their assigned jobs and younger members of the society (up to age 18), go to school. All adult members are required to work and all minors are required to attend school. There would be no need for society members to do anything else. We firmly believe that education and work are two essential components in the success of our society.
12:00-Lunch. Members of the community get a one hour break for lunch. Just as with breakfast, meals are provided to all members of the society. Students are permitted to leave school ground to eat their lunches, but they must have approval from a teacher first.
1:00-Work/School Resumes. After lunch, adults and children assume their school and work duties.
3:00-Work/School Ends for the Day. Students and adults are released from their jobs and school for the day.
3:30-Free time. Society members are allowed to rest or participate in a community activity. Community activities include, but are not limited to: playing sports, playing games, conversing with one another, hiking the numerous trails in the society, or watching society selected television shows. We encourage society members to be active. Each member is required to fulfill a certain number of activity points per day.
5:00-Dinner. Just as with breakfast and lunch, society members are given a nutritionally appropriate meal. They eat dinner with their family units.
6:00-Evening Reflection and Worship. This is a time during the day where society members reflect on the day's work and accomplishments. Society members are encouraged to journal. If there are religious society members, this is a time for them to gather at their place of worship within the community.
7:30-Family Unit Time. This is time during the day where family units talk about the day's work with one another. It is a time of group reflection. It is also a time to connect with members of the family unit and to help process and issues that a member may have had that day.
8:30-Community Needs. This is a time where the community can meet, if there are problems arising within the community. It is a time to discuss solutions to these problems and to come to a community consensus on what to do. All community members are invited to these events. They are facilitated by the community leaders.
10:00-Bedtime Preparation. This is a time for society members to prepare for bed.
10:30-Bedtime and Lights Out. All society members are expected to be in bed at this time and to have their lights out. This is a way for society to ensure all members are receiving an adequate amount of sleep and that energy is being conserved in the community.
